Animals truly are humans' best friends. When I got my first dog, Barkley, I understood that bond. He was my world, and he taught me so much about patience, trust, and care. Because of him, I love sharing that same compassion with other pets in our community. Since I was young, I've enjoyed being around animals-teaching tricks, going on walks, and snuggling on the couch. As I got older, friends, family, and neighbors trusted me to walk, feed, and stay overnight with their pets. For the past three and a half years, I've also volunteered at the SPCA Kitten Nursery, working mostly with kittens ages 2-20 weeks. I've learned how to read animals' body language and support shy or nervous pets. I know having a stranger in the home can feel overwhelming, so I take my time to build trust and follow each owner's guidance. My priority is to keep every pet feeling safe, comfortable, and loved.
