About Jen
Experience: 10 yrs
I've been working with children (and parents) for more than 20 yrs, about half of that time has been in a classroom setting as an early childhood teacher, and the other half was spent as a home visiting lactation educator, postpartum doula and/or nanny. I also homeschooled my own two kids during elementary. I went to school for early childhood education long ago, but have stayed committed to continuing education throughout the last two decades, most recently I took a course on executive functioning brain development in the early childhood years at community college. My strengths are in art and socio-emotional learning as well as anti bias education and developing a strong concept of one's self as a learner and community member.

Within just a few weeks with her I felt confident I had made the right decision, and more importantly, confident in my capabilities as a mom. Jen not only taught me valuable lessons, but she also taught my girl a whole new world of truly educational and FUN activities. I’d frequently come home to new artwork, stories from outings at the park, and I received update pictures/videos throughout my day showing my girl smiling and making achievements that felt impossible to help her with on my own. To put it shortly, Jen is warm, kind, trustworthy, and exceptionally knowledgeable in infant care. It really felt as though I had help from my own family, and I can’t thank her enough.
