12+ years hands-on experience as mother and caregiver. I have cared for children & adults with complex medical conditions having a rare diagnosis where the child requires full and total care and round the clock monitoring; I have extensive experience with with epilepsy and various types of seizures, including tonic clonic (grand mal) seizures; and extensive experience caring for an adult struggling with Lewy Body Dementia. I am educated in oxygen support (to include high flow), gtube feedings, suctioning, venting, seizure management, checking vitals and maintaining saturations, G-tube feeds, seizure management, medication management, and memory & mobility challenges. My experiences have taught me to remain calm under pressure, problem-solve quickly, and always put safety first. I am skilled at following care plans, collaborating with medical professionals, and maintaining detailed organization to ensure meds, therapies, and routines are carried out accurately.
