Hello, I am Jem, originally from Colombia. I have cared for children across the world and the United States, first as an Au pair in Germany and later in Boston and several cities in Texas. Prior to that I nannied for multiple children in Colombia. I truly love caring for children - in fact I specialize in younger children, who have so many skills to learn! I work with each child to develop a full day routine of activities, games, and learning. I particularly love active children, and enjoy having a blend of indoor and outdoor activities. From the moment we met Jem, we knew she was going to be a wonderful fit for our family. Jem provided part time care for my twin boys from 5 to 15 months old during the Covid-19 pandemic. She is a warm, nurturing, and patient person. My sons were always excited to see her when she arrived and spent the majority of their days smiling and laughing with Jem as she taught them new things. Jem was there when they took their first steps and said their first words. She taught them about animals, colors, shapes, and more. Jem shared her heritage with them each day by teaching them Spanish words, phrases, and songs (and teaching them to us, too!). My sons STILL love when we sing to them in Spanish. We will forever be grateful to Jem. She loved my boys, and they loved her. We couldn't have asked for a better caretaker.
