My first adult care position was at the age of 17. I was responsible for sitting with an elderly man suffering from Parkinson's disease. I realized with this first job that caring for others was my passion. I attended LPN school in 2006 and began working in long-term care. I loved working with elderly but wanted experience in a hospital setting and took a position on a med/surgery floor. I was responsible for a variety of patients. I am looking for a position that will allow me to work in a more private setting so that I can spend more time caring for my clients and less time on paperwork.
