About Jean

Our family was truly blessed when Jean accepted the position of caring for our parents. She made a wonderful first impression on our family during her interview with us, and before the interview was over, we knew we wanted to hire her. After she started her care for mom and dad, we knew we never wanted her to leave. In addition to being well-educated and knowledgeable in her field, Jean has experience working with individuals affected with memory challenges, and that was important to us. When we hired Jean, mom was in mid-late stage Alzheimer's/Dementia, and dad had recently been diagnosed with Vascular Dementia. Dad had been mom's caretaker for many years and he struggled with giving up that role, not always allowing Jean to tend to mom's needs. Jean was extremely patient and understanding in those situations. She never became flustered, and was able to work through those bouts of stubbornness with grace. Jean always showed compassion to my parents, and would make accommodations to meet their needs and wants. She was flexible with her time and would extend her shift, or fill in extra shifts, if there was a void in coverage. It was a sad day when we moved mom and dad into a senior living facility, and it was sad letting Jean go. She was like family to us!
