In college, I had several opportunities to house sit and care for animals while their humans went on trips or vacation. My favorite was a service animal and a disabled student, who I was able to stay with for 12 hour shifts, care for the dog, transport the dog, and take the dog whenever the student went. I grew up with dogs for most of middle and high school, but I was especially close to this dog. I have kept dogs and cats in my home for respite care, and don't mind taking animals on walks or out to the dog park.
