About Jeanne

We were extremely fortunate to find Miss Jeanne (juh-NAY) through Care.com during a sudden school closure for our grandson. Jeanne, who has specialized training in special needs education and currently works within a local school district, was on a short academic sabbatical completing her Master’s degree when she graciously agreed to help us four days a week for several weeks. From the first day, our grandson bonded with her. Jeanne quickly earned his trust and attention through her calm, gentle, and loving manner. She skillfully introduced structure and new learning in ways he could understand and enjoy—teaching him practical communication tools, such as identifying his “voice levels” from a 0 (“whisper”) to a 5, which has been incredibly helpful for him and for us. Each day, Jeanne incorporated a thoughtful mix of activities—reading practice, numbers and sorting, sight words, walks outside when the weather allowed, and regular reinforcement of potty training. She has a natural gift for balancing compassion and discipline, always meeting our grandson where he was while gently guiding him forward. Jeanne’s professionalism extended beyond her time with our grandson. Her communication with us was always timely, clear, and insightful. Before wrapping up her time with us, she went above and beyond by preparing a comprehensive educator-to-educator summary for his next teacher, ensuring a smooth transition into his special-needs Pre-K program. Miss Jeanne is a rare find—kind, patient, incredibly knowledgeable, and deeply dedicated to the children in her care. Our family feels truly blessed to have had her with us, even for a short period, and we cannot recommend her highly enough.
