About Jeanne

As the oldest daughter of five siblings, I have been caring for kids most of my life. This instilled a deep care ethic from a young age that has continued to shape my life choices, from being a livestock farmer and caring for herds of animals to spending the past five years caring for my grandparents, aunt with Down Syndrome, and younger sister. I am also a chef, community organizer, outdoor enthusiast, and artist. I love spending time with kids and nurturing their sense of wonder through engaging in these different areas, whether going for an exploratory walk in nature, baking a delicious treat, or spending an afternoon making giant puppets. My role as a caregiver these past five years has taught me a lot about patience, listening to the needs of the person I'm caring for and adapting my style accordingly, and creating calm and playful environments where those I care for can thrive.
