About Jean

I have devoted my life to helping young people thrive and succeed. I homeschooled my two children. I taught them math, science, history, language arts, piano and fine art. My son is now at UCLA medical school on a full-ride scholarship, and my daughter writes for The Wall Street Journal. I hold a master's degree in teaching from Bushnell University. During school years, I am a substitute teacher in public school districts in San Diego County for students TK-12. I also tutor students K-5 in reading and math. During the summers, I'm available to be a nanny in San Diego County. I'm certified in First Aid/CPR/AED. I'd describe my personality as creative, hardworking and kind. Even before I had my own kids, I volunteered at summer camps, an orphanage, and juvenile hall. In my spare time, I play piano, take walks, swim, read, and spend time with my adult kids.
