Jean was part of our pvt. in-home care team for my 94 yr. old dad with heart failure, on hospice, during his last 2 months of life.  At the time Jean joined us, dad was cognitively very sharp, mobile with a walker, but needed help with activities of daily living and an ongoing assessment of his changing medical condition (increasing shortness of breath, fatigue, weakness, cellulitis etc.).  Jean was willing to do & very competent at clinical care (vitals, SOB & oxygen mgt., meds) & nonclinical care (mobility, meals, hygiene, bathing, dressing, housekeeping etc.). Jean worked hard to ensure dad's dignity & independence to the end & sought ways to help him be as comfortable as possible as his condition worsened. She was flexible with her hours & went the extra mile to help us cover all the care hours so dad could remain at home.  If Jean thought something could be done differently, she let us know.  Both dad and I trusted Jean's care and she was a great support.

Jean was a God-Send for my mom (87 with dementia living alone) and for our family. Jean came 4-days a week, (and more when we needed her), to help mom get some physical exercise, mental exercise using appropriate games on the computer, prepared meals, shopped, and provided great companionship. As a nurse, she also recognized mom had become really sick with a serious UTI and called us immediately, recommending she go to the hospital...which we did. As mom declined more from dementia, it was Jean who recommended to us that Mom get more care in an assisted living facility. Jean then proceeded to help mom, and her five sons, prepare, pack and move mom to a new place. Jean is honest, trustworthy, flexible and we highly recommend Jean to anyone needing help with a loved one.
