Jaymia has been in our life for over two years. She began nannying for us when our son was 6 months old and spent six months watching him in our home while we worked. Jaymia made putting a tired baby down for naps look easy. She planned developmentally appropriate activities. She took him outside. She delighted in his development. She communicated with us about things she noticed and asked about our preferences regarding his care. Jaymia took initiative to help with light housework tasks, which helped us tremendously. Once he began at a daycare center, Jaymia began babysitting for both of our children (our daughter is 3.5 years older than our son), and managed the competing needs of those age ranges well. She is creative and fun, and both children enjoy having her in our home. Jaymia also cared for my 98 year-old grandmother and showed her care, respect, and love. She tackles less-than-desirable moments with a can-do, positive attitude. We trust her and wish she lived closer so we could have her watch our children more often!
