About Jaylene

Born and raised Floridian with 6+ years of childcare experience. I started my first job at 16 years old as a swim instructor, in which I trained children from the ages 1-12 years old. This training included fundamental swimming skills along with necessary survival skills in the water. The most rewarding part of this job was watching the children excel and grow in the water. Around the age of 18 I began working at an after school care job in Hillsborough county in which I am still currently employed at. I started off as a counselor which involved having a group of 20-25 students grades K-8. I slowly moved my way up and became the lead instructor of this program, which required being the backbone of the program. Making sure both kids and parents were happy and supporting my staff in creating a healthy environment for everyone in it. This job has made me realize how different and special each child is and how much I enjoy creating those one on one relationships.
