I enjoy taking care of kids and watching them grow and learn. I have experience with multiple mental health issues, newborns through teens, twins, distance learning, and giving medications. I am comfortable with driving kids, taking them swimming, any pets, bedtime routines, cooking easy meals for the kids, and helping to clean up after them. I think kids understand a lot more than some people give them credit for, and make an effort to explain things in an age-appropriate way instead of brushing off any questions they have. I believe it's important to spend a lot of time and effort shaping kids as they grow, teaching lessons and explaining things, having them help with chores, letting them make their own decisions and experience the consequences (within reason), etc. I've developed strong bonds with all the kids I've taken care of, and I like to stay in contact after they no longer need a babysitter.

To put it simply Jay is one of the best! When we first hired Jay to provide weekly childcare for our kiddo two days a week our child was 1, and at that classic stage five clinger to mama phase. Jay didn't bat an eye and put in the time and effort to connect with our kiddo, and it grew into a very special bond between the two of them. Jay fit right into our home which mattered a lot since my spouse and I both work from home. He took our 4 intense pets in stride, and never hesitated to support our family in any and every way. When at 14 months our kiddo started showing signs of wanting to potty train Jay was ready to go! Jay even brought our child coloring books and markers to keep at our house. The list really does go on and on. If you are looking for compassionate, thoughtful, well rounded childcare for your kiddo you need look no further. When a spot for our child opened up in a daycare were truly saddened that our weekly time with Jay was coming to an end, but we will for sure continue to hire Jay as childcare whenever we can book him!
