About Jayden

As a young woman, my experience with aging is non-existent. It's hard to understand things we have not yet endured, but this hasn't stopped me from being able to foster compassion towards elders. My journey working with adults as a care-taker began in 2020. I worked for an elderly woman with onset symptoms of dementia. I worked as her step-stool, giving her a hand to ensure proper med administration & nutrition. Some days I worked as a friend, listening to her stories & making her laugh- other times I worked as a teddy bear, designed to comfort her through experiences of grief. Since 2023 I have been a residential support aid. I work with Level 6 care clients with symptoms of mental illness. I excel in emotion regulation, human centered care, empathy & communication. I humanize each individual I work with & attempt to meet them where they are with patience & respect. I think working with elders is an incredible privilege! I'm first-aid & CPR certified.
