Caring for Max a senior golden retriever I adopted from a family friend was one of the most meaningful experiences. I've had he had arthritis in heating loss so our days were slow and quiet. I learned to be patient giving him meds, taking gentle walks, and just sitting with him while he napped . He didn't need much just my presence. His companionship taught me that cares often about showing up not just doing something Big when he passed it was peaceful. It hurt a lot, but I was grateful for the time we see.
