I am a licensed vocational nurse desiring part time work in the caregiving profession. I worked approximately 18 years as an LVN in a hospital and in doctors' offices. After staying home to raise my two children, I returned to work as a geriatric caregiver dealing with some hospice cases. I then served as a full time nanny for a newborn safe-surrender child who has now been adopted by his foster parents. After he entered preschool, I began working in the mental health field working with children in foster/group home settings. I found all these areas very satisfying as I love the "caring professions". Most recently, I relocated to Houston to care for my parents in their final years and feel very blessed to have shared those years together. I look forward to some part time work with new families, preferably now in the geriatric area but am still open to childcare.
