About Jannette

Jannette is truly a gem, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She cared for my mother-in-law for about a year and a half, during what became the most difficult and vulnerable stage of her life. We moved my mother-in-law into our home after she was no longer able to walk and became bed- and wheelchair-bound. As her dementia progressed, Jannette was incredibly patient, compassionate, knowledgeable, and conscientious. She understood the progression of dementia and, beyond caring for my mother-in-law, she genuinely guided us as a family through the toughest final stages of the disease. Having someone we trusted so completely made an enormous difference. Jannette was exceptionally attentive to my mother-in-law’s hygiene, comfort, nutrition, and overall wellbeing. When she stopped eating, Jannette was incredibly creative and persistent in finding ways to encourage her to eat again. She also took her outside in her wheelchair for walks around the neighborhood every day. Even toward the end, when my mother-in-law could no longer speak and was sleeping as much as 22 hours a day, Jannette remembered how much she loved being outside and continued their daily walks whenever she was able. She also has an incredible work ethic. During downtime, she was never simply sitting around—she would do my mother-in-law’s laundry, prepare her food, vacuum, tidy up, and find ways to make things easier for our family. She was dependable, conscientious, and always one step ahead of what needed to be done. She is also extremely patient, which was especially important as my mother-in-law’s dementia became more advanced. Most importantly, Jannette gave me something that is priceless when you have a loved one who requires this level of care: peace of mind. I always knew that when Jannette was there, my mother-in-law was safe, clean, comfortable, cared for, and treated with dignity. Jannette became someone our family truly trusted and appreciated. I would hire her again without hesitation, and I genuinely hope she finds a wonderful family because she deserves one. Any family who has the opportunity to have Jannette care for their loved one will be very fortunate.
