About Janla

Hi, my name is Janla . While I am not a traditional childcare provider, I bring hands-on experience working with children in both healthcare and support settings. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from City College of New York and have worked closely with children and young individuals through my role as a Direct Support Specialist at Mercy Drive Inc. There, I supported youth with developmental disabilities in building independence, self-confidence, and healthy routines. I also worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, where I cared for patients of all ages, including children, always ensuring their comfort, safety, and emotional well-being. What sets me apart is my calm and patient nature, along with my ability to adapt to a child's needs with empathy and structure.
