About Janiya

I am currently a Student Teacher Assistant working with children ages 2 to 5, I supported lead teachers in creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating learning environment. I assisted with daily routines including circle time, arts and crafts, story sessions, and guided play. I helped reinforce early learning concepts such as colors, shapes, letters, and numbers through hands-on activities and one-on-one support. My responsibilities included assisting with classroom organization, and supporting children in developing social, emotional, and self-help skills. I also helped supervise meal times, outdoor play, and rest periods, always prioritizing safety and positive behavior. This experience enhanced my patience, creativity, and ability to connect with young learners. I am also currently in school studying to be a Pediatric Occupational Therapist Assistant.
