About Janique

I've been caring for kids since I was 11. Raised my niece (now 15; time really does fly) through her whole childhood. Taught art in DC public schools for 2 years and loved it. Now I consistently teach art to all ages for fun through contracting. I'm skilled at making learning accessible, keeping kids engaged, and creating spaces where they feel safe being creative. I also care for pets like family because my family and I had four cats for over two decades. I'm organized about schedules and safety but keep things real and accepting. Kids respond to that energy, especially when you treat them like they're capable of understanding life lessons, not just rules.
