Confirmed with Janiqua in person regarding a 1 hour, $60 morning care job for my 3 children, and confirmed several times both during our initial meeting and via the booking notification system on the Care.com app that she had been hired. We reviewed the parameters for the job, and upon leaving, she again asked to confirm the time I'd need her to arrive. The morning of my speaking engagement, Janiqua was a no-show. When I called her to see what had happened, she stated that she'd been unable to reach me via phone the previous evening, and so assumed she was no longer needed. I double-checked to make sure she had not tried to reach me via care.com or the app, and she had not. Her absence caused me to have to miss the charity engagement entirely, as no back-up care could be arranged on such short notice. I would not recommend her as reliable, regular for care for any type of important date or work-hour care.
