Hi. I have been working as an at-home caregiver for over 10 years. I have experience in medication management, assisting with physical therapy, bathing, assisting with prosthesis, light housecleaning, meal preparation and companionship. My last two clients I was with through to hospice care. I have been on the family's side with my mother when I could no longer take care of her and her husband anymore and they entered assisted living, so I understand the difficulty of this process from the client/family's point of view. I have a big heart, great sense of humor and patience. I am reliable, punctual and professional. I prefer long-term positions but will accept one-time or short-term assignments in between. Janine was a part of ‘Team Skipper’, a group of ladies that cared for my daddy before he passed away. This amazing team of ladies enabled me to keep daddy in his apartment at an Assisted Living instead of going to memory care. Janine’s sweet, loving personality was a perfect addition to the group. She’s a sports fan so on Saturdays she and daddy watched Kentucky basketball and horse racing. He enjoyed sharing his love of those sports with her. Janine was very gentle and kind, even in times when daddy’s dementia cause him to be difficult. She has a loving nature that makes her perfect for caring for the elderly. If you’re in need of someone that will truly care for your loved one, Janine would be perfect for the position.
