We interviewed Janie one day and the next day she promised to come back to fill out an application. We set up a time. Then she ghosted us - she didn't show up and wouldn't respond to texts or messages. I don't know how to explain this inconsiderate and unnecessary behavior. I suspect she did this because even though she assured us several times by phone and in person that she would be awake for the entire overnight shift, she really didn't plan to do that. (And probably doesn't in her current overnight jobs.)
