About Janet

Empowering young learners to discover the joy of learning is at the heart of my teaching. I am a retired California credentialed elementary teacher with 38 years of experience teaching students in third grade and below. I specialize in early reading and phonics and provide individualized tutoring in reading, writing, and math for students in kindergarten through third grade. I believe every child can succeed with the right instruction, encouragement, and patience. My lessons are engaging, personalized, and designed to build both skills and confidence. Because I value clear communication, I keep parents informed about their child's progress and provide regular updates on goals, accomplishments, and areas for continued growth. I look forward to partnering with families to help children become confident, successful learners.
