About Janette

My name is Janette G. and I am new to the early childhood development profession but not to caring for children. I have completed the early childhood development course at HCC and I'm passionate about supporting positive childhood development in children. I'm also an author and independent book publisher dedicated to promoting the value of literacy and lifelong learning. I'd describe my personality as patient, caring and gentle. I like working with kids because they are curious and open to learning. I'm looking for a job that allows me to support positive childhood development in a caring environment. I started working with kids in a professional capacity last year. In my spare time, I like to read, crochet, listen to music and write. One thing you should know about me is that I care deeply about creating and supporting safe, productive relationships and environments. My skills include emergent literacy, encouraging positive self-concept, and modeling kindness and empathy.
