About Janet

Empowering students to reach their full potential has been my primary focus for the past decade. My teaching philosophy centers on building genuine confidence and fostering a lifelong love for learning, rather than simple rote memorization. I specialize in English, test preparation, history, and the arts for elementary and middle school students. To ensure success, I adapt my methods by incorporating visual aids, hands-on activities, and interactive discussions. When a concept feels challenging, I break it down into manageable steps to build momentum and encourage critical thinking. I prioritize open communication with parents to ensure we are aligned on progress and goals. Nothing is more rewarding than witnessing that "aha!" moment when a student finally masters a difficult skill. I am truly passionate about helping your child discover their own unique path to academic success.
