About Janet

I bring both personal experience and professional skills to senior companionship. For 9 years, my mother lived with me until her death at age 87, giving me firsthand experience supporting an aging parent. I currently live with a 93-year-old woman with significant memory loss and provide companionship, supervision, reassurance, gentle queuing to help her navigate her day, and occasional assistance with prepared meals when needed. I hold an MA in Counseling and bring patience, empathy, strong communication skills, and mature judgment. I am certified in the Alzheimer's Association essentialALZ dementia care program, as well as by the American Red Cross in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED. I can provide companionship, meal preparation, run errands, transportation, appointments, light household help, and meaningful activities. My goal is to help seniors remain engaged and independent while giving their families confidence that someone dependable and attentive is with them.
