About Janelle

Unlocking a student's "aha!" moment is what gets me up every morning. I'm a former Loma Linda Assistant Professor, U. S. Army veteran, and certified cultural organizer (CASA Highlander, 2026), with 21 years of experience helping learners thrive. My path hasn't been traditional: after a decade in cardiac health, I co-founded a youth development nonprofit serving 5, 000+ Inland Empire residents annually, where I lead after-school programs that turn learning into discovery. That same spirit guides my tutoring, I connect material to the student's interests, celebrate small wins, and build critical thinking skills that outlast any test. Expect patience, creativity, and zero judgment. Whether it's math, history, or test prep, I adapt to your child's learning style and partner with your family to set goals and track progress. Let's work together!
