I am a very patient person. During the last course of seven years working for 15th Services Squadron at Hickam School Age Program, I generated extensive experience and professional-level skills in several important areas. I implemented activities and special events that meet the physical, social, emotional and cognitive needs of the children and youth. I interacted with children and youth using approved child guidance and youth development techniques. I promoted and modeled safety, fitness, health and nutrition practices. I assisted the school age coordinator and helped at the front desk if needed. I helped set and prep for activities, went over monthly fire, safety and health checklist, and assisted children with ADHD/ADD/Autism/Down syndrome/Food Allergies/Mobility Challenges/and Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have been an educational assistant for a middle and elementary school where I assist in general education and special education classrooms assisting students with disabilities. I attend to a disabled student's physical needs, including feeding, teaching good grooming habits, or assisting students riding the school bus. Also, I provide personal attention to students with special needs. I have been a teacher's assistant by helping assess a student's progress by observing performance and recording relevant data. I have worked in a preschool setting, providing the individual attention that young children require. I have also supervised the children at play, nap time and assisted in feeding and other basic care activities. I have assisted children with ADHD/ADD/Autism/Down syndrome/Food Allergies/Mobility Challenges/Autism Spectrum Disorder. I cared for my mother that had a tumor and my father that has diabetes.
