About Janelle

A Seattleite residing in Durham! I've been here for a little over 4 years now. I was literally called here--long story that I can share once we meet. I'm God-fearing and a proud mother of an 18-year-old entrepreneur. With 20 years of experience in early childhood education, I hold both an AA and BA in Early Childhood Education. Throughout my career, I've worked in licensed centers, private schools, public schools, and with numerous families over the years. Currently, I recently left serving as a Head Start Teacher, and I am looking for full-time work as I transition out of the classroom into a more full-time role elsewhere. My daughter is dyslexic, which has fueled my passion for literacy and educational support. Outside of work, I love singing, exploring all art mediums, and baking/cooking. I'm excited to meet the right opportunity and create a meaningful connection, what I like to think of as building a chosen family.
