About Janel

As a creative and enthusiastic mother of four grown children, with CPR/FirstAid/AED certification (currently in recertification process), 15+ years of babysitting/ nanny-hood, and nearly 3 years teaching 18- to 30-month-olds, I know how to keep children of all ages very safe, happy, healthy, and entertained. After 30 years in IT, I am thrilled to return to my first love--caring for children. Over my many years of caring for children I have been named Favorite Babysitter, Favorite Aunt, Favorite "Friend's Mom," and Favorite-Party Planner. My passion is to put the fun into learning and learning into the fun. I believe reading without character voices, music without goofy dances, and any day without crafting or exploring nature are crimes against childhood. I've created silly songs for potty-training, mealtime, toothbrushing, transitioning, and just for fun, including inventing games and activities that became favorites among my students, even after graduating up to preschool.
