I have been a nanny in the past. I am the mother of a set of twins and a single, all boys. They are now all graduated from high school, so I feel I have had practice with all ages, plus as a teacher of middle school kids, I have had plenty of practice with different behaviors. I am patient, kind and warm. I am smiley and laid back. I truly enjoy playing games, having fun with arts and crafts, reading out loud, being outside and having adventures of sorts with whomever I nanny. Life is better in a positive atmosphere. We hired Jane to care for our child during a short, clearly specified period while we prepared for an upcoming move, where reliability was important. She agreed to work all scheduled days but arrived late one day and canceled multiple days she had committed to. This made it difficult to rely on her when consistency mattered. Based on our experience, we would not recommend her for roles where dependability is essential.

We were lucky to hire Jane for a few weeks of immediately needed nanny care for our 10 month old. We have a very active baby and Jane excelled in engaging play activities. She also was a wizard at getting our baby to nap, who is normally not an easy sleeper. Jane is also excellent at reading baby signals and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in child caregiving. She is reliable, trustworthy, and just lovely person. We highly recommend Jane for child care. 

Jane was phenomenal with our 10 month old baby girl. She made sure she ate, played, and slept. She sent updates and photos every day. We will definitely have Jane nanny for us again.

I have known Jane for almost 30 years. We were students together, mothers together, and teachers of Spanish together. She is a loving, caring, nurturing woman who loves children. She is very culturally aware and tolerant - she was born in England and emigrated here to the U.S. as a child. She has traveled to quite a few places in England. In addition to being bilingual in Spanish, she knows some French. She has raised three fine young men and has cared for many other children. I highly recommend her with my utmost enthusiasm!

Her friendly demeanor and positive attitude are inherent of her personality. Jane is able to engage adults in conversation and keep them engaged as she has a natural ability to do so.

Jane exhibited many positive qualities.  She creatively prepared effective lessons and then delivered them in learner-friendly manner.  Jane varied her lessons and presentation style to accommodate all learners.  The students respected her and responded with enthusiasm to the lessons she presented.
