About Jane

I'd describe my personality as kind, patient, friendly I like working with kids because I enjoy their enthusiasm and humor and curiosity. I'm looking for a job that let's me do what I love, and that I'm good at. I'm retired from a full time career, and want to be productive. I started working with kids when I was a teenager in the 1960s, as a babysitter. I have 3 kids of my own, and when they were growing up, our house was where they congregated with their friends. Now, I have 6 grandsons. I have not been a teacher, but I've got plenty of experience with kids! In my spare time, I like to read, spend time with family, enjoy my pets. One thing you should know about me is I am 74, but I'm not old! My skills include patience, ability to deescalate when a child gets overwhelmed, and to make a child feel loved and cared for.
