In my pursuit of a nursing degree I find the field of geriatric nursing very interesting. With the need for qualified caregivers increasing I believe giving great care to my patients needs is a necessity. Currently my father is living with me and has been for six years. I feel that I have the qualifications it takes to do a great job. I have given medications and arranged doctor visits. It is very important to me to let the patient be as independent as possible and giving assistance when necessary, to keep dignity which is so important.
