About Janae

I worked at the Boys and Girls Club as a Youth Development Professional. There I would supervise and care for children, provide basic needs and a safe environment, and organize lesson plans. I also worked as a tutor for Future Forward. While there I was a reading/literacy tutor for K5-2 students. I created lesson plans geared towards my specific students age and grade level. I recognized my students trouble areas and what mainly catches their attention so we can have effective tutor sessions. I supported my students and always applauded them for at least trying and doing their best. During summer I was a lead teacher for K-2nd Grade Summer Camp. Recently, I was as a ParaPro for Pre-K. I helped manage classroom behavior, promoted a positive learning environment, made sure all my students were safe and well taken care of, I helped keep things organized and made sure my small group supplies were always together, and I helped aid in educating my students daily and stimulating their minds.
