My own experience providing special needs care is limited to two years spent monitoring a pair of young brothers, both diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. It was a challenging and rewarding time for which I am most grateful. As the child of two psych nurses I grew up around a population of oft-ignored individuals: outpatients. What I learned from a young age is that there are many forms of care -- whether it's engaging with someone on a mental level or physically attending to their needs. I have a heart for helping others and I believe God created me for that purpose. I have spent 15 years as a childcare provider, 10 years caring for pets and 8 years cleaning homes (they need care, too!). Whatever your needs are, if I don't know it, I'll learn it! I'm here for you.
