About Jamie

I'd describe my personality as kind, empathetic, patient. I like working with kids because they are sweet, kind innocent souls who deserve to be treated well, love fun and feel safe. I'm looking for a job that I am passionate about, makes a difference in peoples' lives, provides value and also provides for my family. I started working with kids when I raised my son alone for years. Helped raise my best friend's special needs son. Being the only person in my family to connect with my self harming, autistic cousin and sing to her to calm her down. I've helped kids in my son's schools from preschool to now high school. In my spare time, I like to cook, play with my son, dance, sing, laugh, walk. One thing you should know about me is I am incredibly empathetic and patient, especially when it comes to children and people who are going through difficult times. My skills include listening, making nutritional meals, solving problems to help the kids work through what's bothering them.
