Hi! My name is Jamie. I love working with children, especially babies and toddlers! Creating close, meaningful connections is very important to me, so working one-on-one with children and their families is a perfect fit. I have been caring for children for 20 years, including 8 years teaching preschool. I'm very responsible, gentle, creative, and extremely attentive to every child I care for. I have a BA in Creative Writing and certifications in Early Childhood Education and teaching yoga. I'm certified in CPR and first aid. I also have experience as a tutor and case manager. I love to nurture the incredible imaginations children have through play, art, reading, music, dance and spending time in nature. Eight years ago, I had the unique opportunity to nanny for premature twin boys for the first nine months of their lives. Jamie has been our daily nanny for the last several months, and we're only "letting her go" because we are moving across the country. She's been phenomenal with our daughter, who is now 7 months old. Jamie is reliable, always on time, gracious, and kind and loving to our girl. We noticed an immediate difference when she came onboard - our daughter gets a ton of positive interaction from Jamie. From play time to nap time to eating-with-our-fingers time, Jamie keeps her engaged and learning. We keep a (non-strict) schedule with our baby, and Jamie (without us asking) read the books we were reading to make sure she was on the same page as us. She's helped us, first time parents, appreciate and understand the development steps as she's experienced them with other children. So she takes great direction, and has a lot to add (if you want it!) based on her history. We have been over the moon to have her take care of our child, and we will miss her dearly.
