I am a RN with special training for diabetes education (CDCES). I've worked in group homes, sole homecare, and endocrinology clinic care. I've also worked in a camp setting since 2013 for the American Diabetes Association which is something I'm very passionate about. Working in someone's home is just more personal than a residential or acute setting. It helps me to be a better care giver and it helps my clients to not only trust me more than a different setting, but also to feel more comfortable. When I work in a home setting I feel as though I am a guest and they are gracious enough to allow me enter and care for them. I am married with 3 cats (carmella, catalina, and sailor).
