I started working in the home health area in 2005. I have experience with different patients and illnesses and/or disabilities. I enjoy the home health field because of the one-on-one care. I am in support of maintaining a loved one's right to remain at home as long as he/she is medically able. In 2009, I became a 24/7 caregiver to my mother with dementia. That opportunity gave me the perspective from the family's point of view. I am proud that I was able to give my mother the best quality of life by allowing her to remain at home until she passed away at the end of 2011. With this experience, I have confirmed that care giving is something I am passionate about.
I have experience with both hospice and non-hospice patients, Foley catheter care, hoyer lift experience, transferring with assist, able to complete all ADL's such as ambulation, bathing feeding, toileting & helping with toileting, housekeeping, ROM exercises, able to complete all vitals on patient, experience with Dementia/Alzheimer patients including care and safety.
I am a Certified Nurse's Aide and I am registered with the Pa Nurse Aide Registry. I have references. Thanks for your consideration.
