I have a degree in Special Education and 4 years of experience teaching in a self-contained classroom for autistic students. I am comfortable working with children with mild, moderate, and severe disabilities and have experience with ABA therapy, Natural Environment Teaching, behavior support plans, communication supports, and social-emotional development. I also have extensive experience supporting children with diverse communication needs, including teaching and reinforcing communication through AAC devices, speech-generating devices, PECS, sign language, and other individualized communication methods. I believe in meeting each child where they are, building on their strengths, and creating a safe, supportive environment that helps them grow in confidence, independence, communication, and daily living skills. My goal is always to help children feel understood, successful, and valued while supporting their unique developmental needs.
