About James

Hey! I've worked in respite care for a year now, and have been working with adults with disabilities for the last 5 years now. I was hired on and trained as a respite intern by the Prader Willi Association. Having learned respite skills through the Tanner School of Dance at the University of Utah, I was matched with a family in the Salt Lake City area and have worked for them regularly since last May. Being from Portland, Oregon I worked for a nonprofit that provides exercise classes to adults with disabilities for 3 years. This is part of what inspired me to major in Kinesiology at the University of Utah, where I participate in the U-FIT program for children with disabilities. I love all sorts of sport and recreation, hanging with my dog, and having any sort of new experience. That's why I love respite care-learning about others' hobbies and interests is my favorite activity. I also have work backgrounds in Biomechanics and Sports Science.
