About James
Experience: 5 yrs
Hi, my name is James and I am an experienced tutor and caretaker for children and teens. As a tutor, I work mostly with SAT/ACT prep, but I also teach Math, English, Science and History to help students reach and exceed Common Core standards. I also have fun teaching chess to beginners. As a caretaker, I prefer working with school-age children so that I can make education a part of everyday activities. I love reading aloud and have book recommendations for all reading abilities and tastes. I have a long list of unique activities, both physical and mental, to fill time without relying on screen time. When cooking, I bring kids into the kitchen to teach both cooking and proper health. I making sure to prepare well-balanced meals.
Most recent review
I contacted James to set up a recurring math tutoring appointment with my daughter. He replied that he was very interested, and we agreed that he would come several days later at a certain time. James did not show up, I called him and texted him, with no reply. Have never heard back from him.
