About Jama

It’s hard to put into words just how grateful we are for the care, love, and support Jama has given our family over the past three years. From the time our daughter was just 6 months old to now, at 3.5 years, Jama has been with us through every stage, becoming an invaluable part of our family and an irreplaceable presence in our daughter's life. As first-time parents, we had plenty of jitters, but Jama’s confidence and deep experience immediately put us at ease. Knowing our daughter was in such capable, loving hands made all the difference. Jama doesn’t just watch children. She genuinely invests in their growth and development. Learning is a big priority for her (she even homeschooled her own daughter), and she often turns playtime into “school time,” sitting with our daughter at the little table for engaging, age-appropriate learning activities. Her approach is thoughtful and creative, and it’s been amazing to watch our daughter learn and thrive under her care. Nutrition is another area where Jama truly shines. She's incredibly knowledgeable and always makes sure our daughter eats a well-balanced, healthy meal and encourages her to try new foods along the way. Beyond all that, Jama is simply fun! She’s full of energy and always coming up with games, crafts, outdoor adventures, and trips to the park. She’s the kind of nanny who doesn’t just supervise — she plays, engages, and becomes a real companion. In fact, our daughter often just calls her “my friend, Jama” Jama also brings a gentle but firm approach to discipline. Kids don’t get away with bad behavior, but she handles everything with kindness, consistency, and a clear explanation of the “why” behind the boundaries. Her guidance has helped shape our daughter’s behavior in such positive ways. As our daughter has gotten older, we trust Jama completely to take her on outings to the museum, zoo, library story times, and other enriching activities. As we prepare for the next stage (our daughter starting Pre-K) it’s honestly hard to imagine doing this without Jama by our side each week. If not for school, we wouldn't be giving her up! Any family would be incredibly lucky to have Jama. We can’t recommend her highly enough, and she’ll always hold a very special place in our hearts.
