I've been in childcare for about six years now on and off. I currently have a office job and nanny part time. I'm seeking to transition to childcare full time with a wonderful family. I'm kind, compassionate, caring and a hard worker. As the oldest between my little brother and myself, caregiving has always been apart of my day-to-day. So, naturally, I turned to childcare as a professional at the age of about 19 back in college and never looked back. 

My background is caring for infants, toddlers and youth the max age about 7 y/o. During college I upgraded from a daycare center to working with private families during midday and the evenings. I moved to Maryland in March of 2022. 

I am CPR and AED Certified as well as vaccinated. 

I'm my free time I enjoy reading and being near the ocean . I love animals and artwork. I'm looking forward to finding the next family that I'll be working with long-term. I appreciate you taking the time to read through my bio.

We hired Jalyn to watch our two toddlers while we were in town for a wedding, and she was absolutely wonderful! She watched the kids twice over the weekend, and both times they had a great experience — they were still talking about their “new friend Jay" the next day.

Jalyn was punctual, flexible with our shifting schedule, and completely supportive of our request to be screen-free. One of our toddlers can be a bit tricky at bedtime, but Jalyn got her down without a single issue. We felt completely at ease knowing our kids were in such capable, kind hands. I would absolutely recommend her to any family — we only wish we lived closer so we could hire her again!

I cannot adequately fill this little box with all the wonderful things I feel about Jalyn. 

As a first-time mom I was filled with anxiety about taking care of a baby. There is so much unknown, but so much information and opinions out there, it’s honestly mind-numbing! Hiring Jalyn when our daughter was 5 months old was, by far, the best decision my husband and I made. Jalyn’s communication is what drew us to her initially. She’s extremely professional and communicative, which gave us such peace of mind. While her professional demeanor is what initially impressed us, she was also so easygoing and just a generally fun person to be around. Her kindness and care extended well beyond her duties to our daughter… our senior pup couldn’t be happier! 

Jalyn nannies for our daughter 3 days a week and always has fun activities for each day. Library days, music class, play groups, children’s museums, zoos, sometimes even just browsing the book store or going out to lunch… I was honestly always a little jealous of their adventures. 

With our daughter about to start pre-school, we’re so sad to be closing this chapter with Jalyn. We can only hope that another family can be as lucky as we are to know her and to have her care for their child. 

We hired Jalyn to look after our 2 year old and 5 year old while attending a wedding form out of town and she was an absolute Godsend! She was very professional, responsible, on-time, reliable and was a miracle with our kids. It was our first time leaving the kids with a babysitter for bedtime and Jay had them both in bed, asleep before 7:30pm! She is very genuine, and she made our children feel very safe and comfortable right from the start. Honestly, everything went far better than we expected it to go and we attribute all of that to Jay! The children have already asked for her again since returning home.. we wished she lived closer! 

Jalyn is amazing with my 8yo daughter! My daughter always has a great time when Jalyn takes care of her. Jalyn is responsible, provides great communication and is always willing to come watch my daughter when she’s available. I give her 5 stars! I would give more if I could!

Jalyn was absolutely amazing! I would give her ten star rating if I could!! She was absolutely wonderful and sweet with my kids. She felt like part of the family from the moment she entered the house. 

Jalyn was a phenomenal caregiver. We hired her to take care of my grandmother while she was ill and she made everything so easy on me and my family. Thank you Jalyn for your wonderful help!!

Jalyn is a wonderful, loyal, and dedicated caregiver. Our kids get so excited  when they know  she is coming. She is patient, loving and nurturing  with them. We couldn't  ask for a better sitter. We highly  recommend  Jalyn  as a reliable sitter.

Jalyn is a pure joy to work! She is reliable,  caring, and meticulous in her childcare duties.  Our child loved spending time with her, and we highly recommend Jalyn.

Jalyn has been wonderful with our two boys (6 and 7) and our kitty too! She sits for us on a regular basis, and the boys always look forward to her coming! From the first time we talked, Jalyn has always been professional, and she is very punctual and responsible. We are very lucky to have found Jalyn!

Jalyn is a dependable, kind, patient, and the responsible young lady who loves working with children and people. Jalyn takes pride in everything she does because she genuinely cares, and her ethical values and morals play an important role when working with kids, and it shows. My kids love her and always hate to see her go. Jalyn will always be my first contact when my children need a caretaker.

She's very independent and love to get her work done, no matter what. She's caring and very outgoing.  She's a peoples person and I must say we always love her back. The same goes with animals. She's a big time dog lover! I would definitely hire her if I was in the position to do so.

Jalyn is the kindest, most compassionate sitter we've ever had. They absolutely adored her. She is patient, reliable, dependable, everything you would ever want around the people you love the most. We wish we could have taken her with us!! 11/10 would highly recommend

Jalyn is the best! She was very communicative, punctual, & the kids loved her. She is so sweet & very friendly. We were at ease immediately & I could tell that she was very patient & great with children. We have had her sit for us multiple times & plan to continue for as long as she will have us.

We arranged to have Jayln sit for us while in town for a wedding. On the day of the wedding, it was 10 minutes past when I was expecting her and she had not arrived yet. I gave her a call and she said she did not realize the time and would be there in 13 minutes. She never showed up or called back. I continued to send her texts and call her throughout the evening with no response. My husband had to miss the wedding and reception we had traveled from out of town to attend. I would not hire this young woman or trust her to carry out care.

We interviewed J for a position that ultimately didn't work out with her availability. We would have been happy to have her meet our girls and take next steps but for a mismatch in schedules. J has a bright personality, is easy to talk to and seems to love kids. I'm sure another family will be lucky to work with her.
