About Jakiah

Hi! My name is Jakiah, and I am a 22-year-old college student studying Secondary English Education at the University of Northern Iowa. I absolutely love working with children and creating a safe, fun, and supportive environment where they can learn and grow. I currently work as an Infant Teacher at La Montessori Nurtury Day School, where I provide nurturing care, support daily routines, and help children reach important developmental milestones. I also have experience working with children of various ages through teaching internships, mentoring, and volunteer opportunities. During the summer, I have flexible availability and am happy to assist whenever needed. During the school year, I am primarily available after classes and on weekends due to my college schedule. I enjoy planning activities, helping with homework, reading, playing games, and creating positive experiences for children.
