About Jake

Current masters program student and I have a knack with working with older people! I'd describe my personality as reserved, empathetic, and unique. I like caring for seniors because it gives me an oppurtunity to learn about their lives and the times they lived, as well as their experience and wisdom. It also gives back to those who came before us. I'm looking for a job that is meaningful, fun, and enriches others. I started caring for seniors when my 96yr old grandpa came to live with our family a few years ago. Before my grandma passed we visited them in assisted living and provided companionship and brought books and other activities. In my spare time, I like to play guitar, read books, rollerskate, listen to records, and learn about history. One thing you should know about me is I am very accomodating, detail oriented, and easy going but I dont tolerate agression. My skills include housekeeping/cleaning, companionship, and daily tasks such as walking or laundry.
