About Jake

I really value building strong, trusting relationships with the families I work with. I make it a point to keep communication open and consistent, whether that's quick updates at pickup, texts during the day, or a call if needed, whatever works best for you. I bring six years of experience in Early Childhood Education from my time as a preschool teacher at Grand Rapids Early Discovery Center. That experience has shaped how I support children's development, encourage positive behavior, and create a nurturing, engaging environment where kids feel safe to be themselves and grow. I'm also committed to respecting and reinforcing your household routines and rules. When it comes to daily activities, I love creating a fun, engaging environment. That might look like playing outside, getting active with sports, or slowing things down with board games, crafts, and other learning activities. For peace of mind, I'm currently certified in First Aid and CPR and have my CDA certification.
