About Jaimie

July 5, 2013. To Whom It May Concern: It is a pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Jaimie. I co-taught with Jaimie for the school year 2012/2013, teaching kindergarten and third grade science at a school for gifted children in Herndon, Virginia. Throughout the year, it was evident that Jaimie was very comfortable with the classroom and with her students. The children sensed her confidence and responded with respect. She was always willing to listen and lend an ear and responded quickly to her students' needs. Her students loved her calming manner and caring words. Jaimie fostered an appreciation for diversity and modeled good communication skills. Jaimie's sense of humor, enthusiasm and high personal standards positively affected her students and her colleagues. Jaimie always put careful thought and effort into planning. She was able to provide her students with creative and exciting lessons which included many games and activities. She incorporated smart board activities into her lessons and was responsible for creating excellent Power Point presentations. She has excellent technology skills which were very beneficial in her teaching. Jaimie was always ready and eager to accept the challenges that often occur when teaching gifted children. She was very flexible and was able to adapt her lessons to accommodate the needs of her students. She taught logic every day where she encouraged her students to use their creativity as well as their reasoning skills. Jaimie also ran an after school community service club where she provided students an opportunity to help the less fortunate people in our community. She shared her passion with her students and reinforced empathy and kindness. Jaimie created a learning environment where students felt safe and respected. She was always a team player and recognized the importance of creating and maintaining good interpersonal skills with her students, parents, and colleagues. I am confident that Jaimie will be an excellent candidate for any teaching position and it is with great pleasure that I recommend her.
